WACommand command list
It's simple, it lets me control winamp from the little multimedia buttons on
my keyboard. Basically it lets you control winamp from the command line.
I bought a new keyboard; it's got these little buttons on it, which could be
very handy were it not for the fact that they either control a built in CD
player or run a single DOS command. The built in CD player is a bit pants and I
use winamp anyway, but I couldn't find a way to control winamp from the command
line. So here is a little program that takes a command line parameter and sends
winamp a windows message to make it do stuff.
With all this, the 'play' button on my keyboard contains the command line WACommand.exe
/play... and it plays! Genius. Umm.
20th September 2003 - Version 2.1.0.1
Fixed a little inconsistency with the readme; the volume range actually *is*
0-100 now, rather than 0-10.
27th August 2003 - Version 2.1
It can now open the "Jump to file" window, and stop playback after
the current track.
25th March 2003 - Version 2.0
I've been fiddling with it again. It now supports multiple CD drives, you can
set the volume directly rather than just moving it up and down, and the random
and repeat options are no longer just toggles, you can set them to what you want
directly.
11th December 2002 - Version 1.6
I don't have a "pause" button on my keyboard, but it appears others
do... so this one has a "playpause" function that pauses playback and
resumes it on another press. I can't take credit for this one, the code was done
by Richard Burton. Thanks!
26th November 2002 - Version 1.5
This one can start playing an audio CD. For some obscure
reason my system doesn't play them automagically, so pressing
one button is a lot easier than going through the menus to
start it...
19th August 2002 - Version 1.4
This version can also toggle Random and Repeat modes.
